Wood Burning Gel Medium

Wood Burning Gel is a heat-activated, non-toxic gel that allows for precise and effortless burning of designs onto various surfaces such as raw wood and denim. It's easy to create a burnt look without

altering the natural structure of the wood. For flawless designs, we recommend using Cadence Stencils. Non-toxic. Tested to CE and EN71/3 standards.

Easy to Use

After application, allow the wood to absorb the product for 5-10 minutes.

The recommended heat gun temperature is a minimum of 200°C (392°F).

Adjust the angle of the heat gun and evenly heat the wood until the desired color is achieved.

The distance between the wooden surface and the heat gun should be 2-5 cm.

After the burning process, wipe off the black residue with a dry cloth. Finish by applying mineral oil or varnish.

Wood Burning Gel – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can it be used on MDF?
No, compressed and fiberboard woods may not produce the desired results.

2. Can it be applied to painted or varnished surfaces?
No, it must be applied to raw wood. You can sand the painted or varnished areas and then reapply varnish after burning is completed.

3. Will it continue to burn if heat is applied after varnishing?
Varnishing protects the gel and prevents further burning. If you need to pause before varnishing, you can continue burning with a heat gun even after 2 days.

4. Can I create my own design using a brush?
Yes, you can create designs with a brush or use our stencils.

5. I want to use it in the kitchen. How should I proceed?
For a cheese board like in the video, complete your design with Wood Burning Gel, then seal it with Stone Varnish for protection. Our Stone Varnish is food-contact safe.

6. Can I use a hairdryer for burning?
Hairdryers are designed for drying and may not provide enough heat. Therefore, we recommend using a heat gun.
