How to apply brass decoupage on tables, chairs and tiles?
Steps to apply brass decoupage on tiles:
- Clean the surface from grease, dirt and moisture and paint with Cadence Hybrid Multisurface white paint and wait for 24 hours.
- Apply Cadence decoupage plus adhesive to the tile with a brush.
- Remove the gelatine of the brass decopages and stick them on the tiles from the center outwards, leaving no air bubbles and gaps.
- At the end of the application, decoupage plus adhesive can be applied as varnish.
Decoupage application steps for table and chair:
- For an old table or chair, the surface is cleaned and sanded if necessary.
- For a better result, the brass decoupage is painted with Hybrid Multisurface suitable for the surface.
- Prepare Cadence brass decoupage paper, scissors, decoupage plus glue, sponge sander, brush.
- The desired pattern is selected.
- The selected pattern is adjusted to fit the table and chair surface.
- If a certain part of the pattern is to be used, it is moistened with a brush and torn off by hand to obtain a natural appearance.
- The product is glued from the center outwards by applying adhesive.
When applying transfer to glass surfaces:
- More than one brass decoupage can be used on the surface to be applied. The brass, which has a fibrous structure, is moistened with a brush and then cut by hand.
- Decoupage plus adhesive is applied to the cut paper top surface with the help of a brush.
- Place it on the glass in the direction of the adhesive applied top surface.
- It is glued from the center outwards to avoid air bubbles.
- Apply decoupage plus again on the back side of the transfer with a brush.
- The same process is applied to the part of the varank rice paper to be combined. After the application, it is dried with the help of a dryer.
- The overflowing parts of the transfer are cut with sponge sandpaper.
- The back surface of the glass is first painted with white acrylic glass paint to make the patterns clearer and more permanent. Then the desired paint is painted on top by hand.
Transfer application for trays and porcelain products:
- After sanding the porcelain plate or tray, a coat of paint is applied.
- Decoupage plus glue is applied on the tray or porcelain.
- Apply the entire product without leaving any gaps.
